There is a KMart next door to this truckstop, so I went in to have a look around. It has been many, many years since I have been in one, but now I can remember why. Total garbage and junk and paper on the floors. Very unkempt look about the whole place. I did buy one item that I needed, and when I got to the registers and I swiped my credit card, up comes this opinion poll question! It would not allow me to proceed until I answered their dumb little question! The question was "How likely are you to recommend this store to your friends?". There were 5 choices to pick from. I was looking for the choice that said "This is dumb, can I please checkout now?" choice! LOL

There is one a stone's throw from my house but I quit going in there years ago. It was simply not worth the hassle.
Our K-Mart is the same. It was here years before our Wal-Mart. As you said papers on the floor and stuff not stacked neatly. No staff. I do not see how they stay open. I saw the K-Mart you were in as you parked and I noted to myself how empty the parking lot was. In fact I first thought you were going there to run in and get something.
