Evening to ya Road Crew!\
We tried to stop for the night in Kansas City, Missouri, but the only truckstop around was jam packed! So we braved rush hour traffic and came out on the otherside of Kansas City, Kansas and are now stopped for the night on the Kansas Turnpike. We covered a total of 603.8 miles today, so very good in my book!
I have been getting reports that the Flying J truckstop in South Dallas, where we have stayed many times before, has been destroyed by the Texas Tornadoes today. Also, another trucking company's (think pumpkin) regional terminal was hit with damage to more than 50 tractors and trailers. Lots of damage all over North Texas today!
At any rate, we are done for the night, and we will continue along our way to Colorado tomorrow!

Hugggggggggggs to you
I assume no damage to the homestead in San Antonio then ( I hope )? Didn't know how far south the storms went. Hope all's well and have a good night.
I saw it as well and my heart goes out to those orange folks. I just hope no people were harmed. How awful to have trailers thrown up into the trees!!!I also feel bad for the owners.
As you know, I was a tornado victim last year and I know how bad, first hand, just how bad it can be!!!
My prayers go out to everyone who were involved!
I think the J was spared in Dallas. Pumpkin, almost next door, was obliterated. When you get a chance, watch that video. It completely blows my mind to see 53' trailers up in the air twirling around like leaves from a tree.
I found the video by putting into my search engine Google Pumpkin trucking Dallas Texas damaged by wind. The footage is on the Weather channel. Wow to see as you folks have said 53 foot trailers sailing along over 200 feet off the ground gets your attention. What if you were working out in the yard and said oh well I just jump in this empty trailer till this storm blows over. It may have been the worst place to go.
