One of the things that happens is when you take donations from people, they begin to think they own both you & the site.
No matter how busy you are they want to "be first". Any problems & they automatically think they are being punishsed or rewarded, etc. because their small minds never get off THEMSELVES.
They never take one moment to conisder if you personally have any other life than catering to their every whim.
In the past I've read such remarks are "bug splatter on the windshield" (Duh, really? on a truck?!) And they make it the main topic for several entires until you finally take time to wash it.
O, THEY aren't perfect, but you darn well BETTER be!!
And they think you are a retalitory person because they are, simple as that.

Steve - I am so sorry for what you had to suffer last night - cold, hassle and critical emails. Did TK keep you warm or was it the other way round!

Those 10 emails from the whiners is a good start to identifying who will continue to be the most trouble to you.
(Anon because I want to be until the choice is removed.)
and today is first time I've felt I'm free to use anon without about 10 bossy people jumping on me, too!

BRS: I understand FULLY (and ALL TOO WELL) just how COLD the inside of a truck can get. Last year (last Co. I drove 4) was ONLY giving me $50.00 to put diesel in the tanks of the 379 Peterbilt that I drove. Yep, U read that right! I had a load to drop in Pubelo, CO. Outside air temp was 25 Above, 20 MPH Wind out of the NORTH, w/Wind Chill it was "5" Above! That's what I slept in!! Fully clothed, 2 pairs of socks on my feet + shoes on, Winter jacket w/hood on my head & also under 3 blankets!! My feet DID NOT thaw out until AFTER Noon the following day!! That's how the WHOLE WINTER was for me last year!!

You never know what's going to happen at a truckstop. Besides big rigs in the parking lot, within 15 minutes we will have all kinds of military vehicles. Seems the military decided to move a battalion and there aren't many places they can stop. This is always fun and a lot of work! Wish I had my camera with me!!!!!

Folks, I can tell you FIRST hand that when there's NO POWER to that truck, IT GETS DARN COLD ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAB WHEN THAT TRUCK IS SITTING STILL! Last Co. tht I drove 4 DID NOT care 2 hoots whether I lived or died! And I nearly FROZE to death last Winter. An I'm a Female truck driver!! Better thank your Lucky Stars that you have People like BRS "Brining home the Bacon"!!

JJ got it right.

What is the saying about the problems that arise when a general fraternizes with the troops more than he should?

What kind of special treatment do the troops come to expect?

Unfortunately, it gets to a point that the general can never do quite enough to keep them all happy.

BRS -- I know you won't see this until later but a couple weeks ago you explained how your Volvo truck had an automatic battery monitor that would start the truck and charge it without any help from the driver. Well, here's how that goes. The auto thing needs battery power to work. If the battery goes dead suddenly due to internal failure it can't work or even tell you it's not working. So it needs a backup battery to stay alive, etc, etc. So there Volvo!!!
