Mornin' Y'all....looks gloomy there Steve. We finally have sunshine but it is windy and 27 degrees. Have a good drive today and stay safe.
Good Morning everyone. Long time since I have said good morning on here. Here is hoping everyone is well. Drive safe.
Good morning BRS, Tk and Road Crew,
We have had a sunny day here but with a covering of snow.
Good morning all...6a.m here, still dark and we are in for some rain today. Our geriatric cat woke me this morning at 4am with a ruckus right outside the bedroom window. He had caught a mouse and was immensely proud of himself, but I was less than impressed at that hour! Have a great day all, I'm off to work. :-)
Good morning BRS, Tk and the Road Crew.
We received 8" of snow yesteday. That makes a total of 40" in my back yard. Not as much as DC but the ski hills like it.
No snow problems all the was to SLC.
Keep on Truckin.
Good morning BRS, TK & RC. It does look chilly there. Safe travels today.
Hope you dont hit too much snow BRS. You got blue skies right now so thats a good sign. Have a safe day and keep warm everyone.
Morn'in All! Taco, sorry to be the bearer of so called 'bad tidings', but we are hav'in another one of those 300 days of sunshine we get every year! Yep, I'm being naughty again, an rubb'in it in. BRS, How's everyth'in go'in today? Just hang'in...
It's ok Bonnie. Enjoy the sun.
BRS, did we take a different road? We went into Oklahoma and that is not the trip on the map. Sure is interesting drive tho.
Morning all -- If we went into Oklahoma we are heading for Lamar Colorado. Lower altitude route a lot of people use this time of year to avoid Raton Pass into southern Colorado. Last time I traveled this route was February 1952 in the worst dust storm they had in the OK panhandle in 50 years. After Lamar you turn west to Pueblo and then north on the I25 to Colorado Springs and on to Denver.
Actually Taco he is still on 385/87 just like the map
Yes Lee, but I think he may have connected with it later. I saw what looked like a Welcome to Oklahoma sign. Just missed getting screen shot of it. Or I'm losing it here! ;o)
Steve didn't go near OKLA today. (Maybe you got road fever, Taco? ha ha, coffee fixes that I hear.)
LOL, that's what I get for too little sleep. Maybe it was a sign advertising wonderful Oklahoma!
Steve, Stop! I need coffee and you can have some too. ;o)
Taco, that's funny.
Steve tells me he has no time today so TK's been poking him in the back saying "drive, drive, drive" !
He cracks me up.
Oh I hate those pokes! My cat sneaks up on me and pokes me, saying, "TIME TO FEED ME!. Some times I swear she must have a watch under that fur, because it is right when I should feed her.

Yes, Jimfae, what do you want them to say....I'll go look right now

Enjoying this trip very much but it's bedtime so I've got to go :(
Night all.
Just for info we passed Trinidad where they used to mine coal and turn it into 'coke'. A hot mass of compressed partially burned coal, then is was shipped by rail to Pueblo to the steel mills that were there until the 60's,. That's where Pueblo got the dubious nickname of PEW TOWN because the Bessemer oven process for making steel spit out a lot of sulpher laden smoke and fumes that made the whole town 'stink'.
Is the picture broken??
We are fast approaching Colorado Springs. The big mountain looming up on the left is Cheyenne MT, home of the Will Rodgers Shrine. Cheyenne Mt. Zoo, and NORAD inside the mountain.
Oh Lee, all places I enjoyed so much while living in Colorado Springs!
