Looks like we now have our camera back, and my ability to update the Truckcam pages...

Still lots of catching up to do with all the other editors, email, photo and video editing software, etc, but we have the basics going to keep you all happy. :)

Still no next trip, so we will see. Actually, kinda glad Ihave this time to get things back in order! LOL

Good morning BRS - good to have you back - I've missed you.
I had to format my laptop last September and I still haven't got everything installed again - I just do it when I need it, though that can be frustrating when I'm in a hurry.

Virtual Traveller said...

Actually - I've had a problem since I formatted it - the touch pad seems to be super sensitive and when I am typing the cursor keeps flying about so the text gets in the wrong place - its drives me silly. Just wondering if there any road crew out there who could tell me how to fix it? Pleeease

Christopher said...

VT, there should be a sensitivity setting under your Control Panel (assuming you're on a PC). Look for a mouse or a trackpad option. Then click around and look for a sensitivity slider control.

Ok, we are going to raid mom's fridge since we do not have a trip yet. Talked with dispatch, and freight is slow in Texas this week....

I had that flying cursor syndrome on the OLD laptop....even though I changed the sensitivity levels...I found out if plugged in, the cursor would fly all over if I even breathed on it. LOL But, I could use the touchpad perfectly if I unplugged it, and worked just on the battery power. LOL. Go figure....another reason I needed a new laptop. :) Just not TWO new ones in a month. LOL GGrrr

Tammy says that all of you willing to pray for her was such a nice encouraging thing that I wanted to tell you again.

Steve always fixes my computer.
It's no fun, tho, he always praises God that he doesn't have a job as a computer person!
I got a unique picture yesterday when he solved a problem with my printer, then checked it out with his face!! I'll treasure it forever & it is a source of laughs for me!
I put a pic of me & TK in the lounge, I'm wearing cat fur all over me. I leave it for one day only. or less. ha ha

Steve, remember the truckcam is on my sreen all the time.
You just sent a sign-in option. I signed in and now you have me forever!!! :-)))

GOD Bless.

Way to go BRS!! Did you get the tape recorded Doberman for Security? Or did you get some braided rope chain? An what type of lap-top did you end up getting?

Good Morning TL: Thanks for the update on Tammy & Nathan!

Good A.M. DOE, UALady, VT, JV (watch out 4 the hairspray)! Hey, where's Taco? TACO!! GET OUT OF THE COOKIE JAR!!

Are you going to put Lo-Jack and a GPS on the new one?
Then you can track it and we can see where you are.
You need a smart phone with GPS to track the phone. It's easier to track the laptop. There are many programs to track a laptop with GPS ike CRS tracks you.

Earl, Steve & I are discussing this & comming up with different theories, will you please explain what you mean where you said...
"You just sent a sign-in option"?
thanks

Thank you Christopher & BRS - I shall try your suggestions.

VT, I have the wild cursor problem as well and have always had it on this laptop. Adjusting the sensitivity didn't help, but I find that if I just take my hands away for a few seconds, it calms down. I have no idea why.

Virtual Traveller said...

For Christopher and all those with flying cursors. I suddenly had a thought that maybe when I formatted the laptop the driver for the touchpad didn't get installed. So I have just downloaded the driver and now I have more options for the mouse in the control panel. In the settings along with the sensitivity control was a thing called palm check which decribed the problem I had been having exactly. I have just typed all of this comment without a problem. WooHoo!!!!

Hope this works. Video of the new 747-8, first flight. Boeing's biggest plane yet.

Virtual Traveller said...

Yes it works Taco - awesome!

Lee-CA said...

Yes, I got the sign-in window also. I didn't know the password and BRS probably wouldn't appreciate me editing his website if I hacked it so I hit CANCEL.

Lee-CA said...

Oh, I should have also said the sign-in window was right in the center of the truck cam window.

Taco said...

VT, glad you enjoyed it. I was up into the wee hours last night, watching the Endeavour, being launched. After that they showed it from many different cam locations.

BigRigSteve said...

What sign in on what camera when? Somebody tell me asap, I have no clue whgat ya talking about! LeeCA, call me! I do not see anything you should not be seeing, etc...?

The Duke Of Earl. said...

I receieved the same as Lee. from brt.net, see if I'm authorized to go on your site and change anything and delete it.

The Duke Of Earl. said...

It was a sign-in window that appeared on the lower left of the picture. It didn't say what it was for?

Lee-CA said...

BRS --It was a sign-in to your bigrig something.net web site that I think is where you do your editing on your program. It asked for a log-in ID and a password. Mine was directly in the center of the cam picture.

Lee-CA said...

When I hit Cancel it went away and hasn't come back.

lindaw said...

I also got a sign in but I cancelled it. It happened about half an hour ago. I figured it must be a slip up. It came from live web page. Hope you will get that fixed, Steve.

lindaw said...

I mean live cam page.

The Duke Of Earl. said...

We didn't ask for it.

Lee-CA said...

BRS -- Maybe I should have logged in so I could fix some of those errors I keep bugging you about.

Unknown said...

if you see it, can you sign in? can you send me a camscreen shot of it?

Lee-CA said...

BRS -- didn't think to do a camshot. I see you have set a proxy at privacy protect on your whois site info.

The Duke Of Earl. said...

I logged on and nothing came up.
I only had the truckcam open on the screen nothing else.

Unknown said...

I have done nothing. LOL
Not sure why all these problems are happening just because I have a new laptop...Been on phone with BRT.NET hosting, 30 min now worth of troubleshooting, and they cannot recreate, see, or find a problem or reason....Can you sign in? does it have prefilled in name or passcodes? Get a screen shot if possible, how often it occur? just today? all day? Every image? everybody see it? Just a select few? I cannot find any reasion for it to be happening.... Any help would be appreciated so I can better isolate and troubleshoot this...

Nancy said...

OK...I had to sign in also but only when going to the lounge. Had resent my password. No problems anywhere else yet.

Dottie said...

All seems normal here, Steve.

Virtual Traveller said...

Nothing unusual here Steve.

Everyone has a place were you sign in? Don't look for it, you won't find it. It was on the truckcam picture only and doesn't seem to be a problem.
Steve, take a screen shot of your sign-in window and send it to me. I think that's what it is.
Of course with no user name and password, just the window.

BigRigSteve said...

ok, that smugmug login is always there atthe bottom of the smugmug page...no problem there
