Good morning BRS, TK & RC!
How does it get damaged? Poor loading job? It's not like TK plays back there!
Safe travels today.

Sorry about the damaged products. On my grocery shelf on last shopping trip I found lots of bent cans of one product and I thought about you sometimes encountering damaged products. I thought these that I saw must have been damaged by the store after getting off the truck or they would have been rejected.

On the cave subject.. I discovered there is a tennis court in one of the Mo. caves. Don't know it it was the last one you were in or not. Interesting reading.

If this web address don't work, probably can google underground tennis court in MO.

Thanks for the cave video. I don't know which bothers me more. Being that far underground or the fact that you don't see people! Did see 1 trucker but other then that, not a soul moving around. Creepy!

Re the new camera software - the image is not as clear - it's difficult to read road signs. Please could you put on the caption where you are. This is not a criticsm - I realise you are trying things out.

The view itself is no different. What you're seeing now is because its a rainy day, & fairly dark. Considering the type day it is, this is a good picture.
He was asking about (on the new software) is there improvment in the amount of missed or partial frames?

Don't forget the trivia question I put out last blog.
Ualady can't answer, she always knows the answer, I'm waiting for someone else. ha ha.
If no one gets it by the end of the day, Ualady may answer. :)

Just guessing, TL. I know Geo Wash9ington declared several thnaksgiving day, but Abraham Lincoln declared the last Thursday in Nov. as a national holiday. fDR declared the 4th Thursday as a federal holiday in 1941..my guess lincoln and FDR

TexasLady - I do believe the answer to your trivia question is Washington & Lincoln. Washington proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving while Lincoln issued the proclamation setting aside the last Thursday of November as Thanksgiving Day.

SCL, you did a lot of research & for that you get a shiny star.
I wouldn't have known this either, except I have the Nov. copy of the American Bible Society Magazine on my desk.
It was George Washington & Elias Boudinot, first president of the ABS, but also the president of the Continental Congress, so those 2 first presidents collaborated to establish the first National Day of Thanksgiving & Prayer on Nov.

Traveller, are you receiving any partial frames across the pond?
I have had a few missing frames, but no partials at all, (so far). And those missing only occurred before my computer got in sync.

Virtual Traveller said...

TL - I haven't been watching for very long today, but I haven't seen any partial frames, just a few blank with the red cross.

Woooohooooo, no half frames happening today! This is great!

Nancy said...

Whole frames for me also, no partial. Woohoo!!!

A vast improvement here also. I has some missed frames, but they are few and far inbetween. Good picture though despite the cloudy weather. Able to read some of the road signs. Never know they had exits for alphbetical road names in MO. LOL:) In general I give BRS a lot of credit for bringing us the fantasic views from his windshield as seen by the American trucker to my computer each and every time I log in. I have been saving them as my desktop background when there is a great shot.

HI BRS -- Picture seems to work well. Not sure why it does. Checked the HTML code viewer and it says there are 28 errors and 48 warnings. Seems HTML is very tolerant of less than perfect coding.
Hope your next trip goes better. Those old caves are scary. What were they use for in the civil war era?

Virtual Traveller said...

Something very strange just happened - the picture was upside down!

Taco said...

LOL, ARE YOU KIDDING? ss for caps

Taco said...

VT, maybe its cause you are on other side of the world!

Traveller, you are unique! Here in the states we have linen stores called "Bed, Bath, & Beyond" and I think you are in the "beyond" dept. of our cam range! ha ha.

Nancy, since you have dial-up, Steve is excited to hear that you aren't getting any partial frames. You're a good test for that. Steve says we have half the battle won now.

However, wait till I tell him VT recieved an upside down pic!! That will keep him for feeling confident! ha ha

They are pulled into a weigh station right now, but soon as he gets going again, he will catch up two huge loads he wants us to see, so be on the lookout.

Lee-CA said...

TL -- Me too, upside down pic some time after VT saw hers. Very Interesting!

lalou said...

Oooooh, I saw the two huge loads. So much of that load didn't have tires under it, just supported on each end.

Anonymous said...

Last time he saw a load like that, when he was stopped in a truckstop, he counted about 60 tires, all dual. They are spaced out.
It was some kind of tank. Don't know who needs so large a tank.
Did ya'll see all those birds that just flew up in front of him?

Taco said...

I posted pic of 2nd tanker in the lounge.

Lee-CA said...

Tanks shaped like that with rounded bell ends are for pressurized gases, most likely propane.

Nancy said...

TL, before the frame would come down is sections, 1/4, 1/3,1/2, etc. now NONE of that, the picture is just there. I am thrilled and grateful it works.

Taco said...

First tanker said gas on it.

Virtual Traveller said...

Re inverted pic - I had one earlier but I thought I was seeing things! Glad Lee-CA saw it as well!

Taco said...

Hmmm, cam seems to be stuck or we are in a dead zone.

BRS, as usual I've been on since 8 AM. No problems only one black screen. The new program must pick-up the tower signal better.
The only thing different today was a black stick across the picture.
I'm still signed in from over a month ago as we talked about it.

Got a Salvation Army pickup arranged for the 3 cases of Lasagna with meat sauce & personal pan pizzas that delivery turned down earlier. Talked to a couple different cities (& some real nice people) today since he wasn't real sure where he was stopping.

Taco said...

Good job TL!

Lee-CA said...

Now that it's dark. can't read signs at all. Very blurry, out of focus? or exposure time very long to compensate for lack of light?

Taco said...

New blog.

I never can red signs at night anyway, Lee. All the same to me. ha
