Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving!
The last few days my inbox has literally been flooded with our advertisers giving me new Black Friday and Cyber Monday links. LOL I started to work on a page just for them, but gave it up. Way too much work to do with it. LOL So, if you feel like doing online shopping, I can tell you virtually every single Travel America mall sponsor is running special deals. Just click on any of them, and from their homepage you will see all the blinding headlines. about their deals. LOL Ok, enough about advertising. LOL
We will go through 100 miles of Wyoming, then jump over the Wasatch mountains, then drop this loaded trailer. then go find out when our next preloaded trailer will be ready so we can head off to........(?) I know. TK knows, but I will leave you guessing for a few hours. LOL.
CLUES: snow, great photos, christmas lights, water, hiking. LOL GRIN. Could be anywhere, right? LOL

This is one of those occurances where "I should have bought my camera". I have seen four people trying to squeeze a big screen TV in one of those 'smart' cars at my local Wal-Mart. LOL!!!

Good Morn'in all: BRS, TK, DOE, Taco, UALady, TXLady/TXMan, VT, JV (Do u ever run out of hair spray?). Everyone recover from ALL the food you ate yesterday? Had a nice surprise, got invited ovr to get a plate at the gal's place that is the day Mgr. here at the motel that I live at. Also had a couple of things happen: 1. Early yesterday A.M. there was an accident on I-182 WB at Ext. 8 - there was a death in that accident. Plz say some prayer's for that family. WA St. patrol is investigating, no more details. 2. Last night we lost power here, someone hit a pole that had a transformer on it, power was out in ONLY the Lobby bldg. (where I live) for 2 hrs. 3. Right now, WE DON'T HAVE "ANY" WATER IN THIS BLDG., Codl/Hot water are shut off, cause while power was out we heard water running. And the guy that's go'in fix it AIN'T GO'IN DO ANYTHING TILL AFTER 3 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON TO FIX IT!! Also, means you can't flush the toilet! Just lovely. I hope that NO ONE went out an went shopping today?! Thanks all, appreciate it if you could say some prayer's for us here at the motel (Peyton Place-this place is like a Soap Opera). I'm done.

Seems like I missed a lot of nice scenery today - I've only just got a chance to check in, been busy shopping and being a taxi service for my daughter and her friends. I thought when she grew up and left home that would all end! (Fat chance!)
Please can someone explain what Black Friday is?
Hi everyone, Great ride thru the mountains. Very few signal dropouts. I have a question. Probably been asked and answered but I missed it. What is used for reefer fuel? Something less volatile than gasoline I assume.
VT -- Black Friday is the day of the big sales to kick off the Christmas shopping season. Supposed to put the books in the Black. The sales usually turn out to be the last of this years stuff they want to get rid of.
Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day, which is (in the merchadize world)the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. Calling it that term goes back to about 1966, primarily on the East coast. The term has become more common in other parts of the country since 2000.
I hate to hear the term myself & don't use it for the reason that what we know now as "Good Friday" was for many hundreds of years refered to as "Black Friday", therefore it always has a usurper/copy-cat tone to it.
