Lee - do you know why I sometimes (often) get a black screen when it is saying "live stream"? I've just been looking at Camstream's site to see if I could get anybody else's stream but they were all just black, and yet there were other viewers so somebody must have been getting the stream.
VT -- I would think it is somewhere in the long chain of server links you are getting your signal through in the UK. Someone just isn't putting the signal through all the time at all locations.
VT -- Just for fun did an IP Trace Route on Camstreams from my location in California. The Camstreams server is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The signal goes through 14 intermediate servers to my DSL server, then to my local phone company that puts it on my phone line to my house. Amazing that I get anything through all that.
Have a Happy Fourth of July everyone! In Tacoma, we have a large, day long party. The planes are already putting on their airshow and more will come this afternoon. This evening the fireworks show will start. We watch from our second floor balcony. We also gather at a neighbors house for a block party, during the day and share food and fun. We all have our flags flying and our houses decorated. BRS, hope you and TK have a safe drive today!
Taco - I quite like the way pictures works in Vista, but I cannot get the DVD maker thing to work. I would like to make a slide show that I can put on a DVD so I can see my photos on the TV. I have spent hours getting them in a certain order but I can never get them to stay that way, especially if I have modified them. It's a wonder I have any hair left!
VT -- Didn't think you were that technical, but was just thinking about what you said about you being 5 miles from the Camstreams office. That's the UK office after it gets across the big pond. By the way, 5 miles? I thought you used kilometers in the UK.
Lee - we use metres and centimetres for small measurements but still use miles and yards for distance. We buy our petrol (gas) in litres but milk & beer in pints. Those pints being 20 fluid ounces! The rest of Europe uses kilometres.
Taco and everyone, I use Picasa 3 for my photos, 15,000 of them, Picasa3 does everything you want it to do and you can send 50 to 60 pictures at a time to any address you want to. That's how small it compresses pictures. The best part is it's FREE. :))) Smaller than a zip file.
DOE, thanks for the tip. I'll check into that. We just watched C-17 fly over, real slow. They take off and land at the base just south of us, so we see them often. But this is a new view for us.

HEY WAIT STOP!!!! YOU DIDN'T TELL US WHERE WE ARE GOING!!!!! GRRRRRRRR
Safe Journeys amidst the excited four wheelers celebrating in their own way.
Vicky, good first thought! 233rd
Head em up,
Move em out.
Thank you TL! That's a little closer to me :)
Morning Steve -- Did you figure out how you were sending your video out without using your wideband?
We finally got rid of him and his big haired friend, whew!!!.
Aaaaaaa DOE, you referring to TK or JV!
Have we set off yet? I'm not getting the cam on either camstreams or BRT.
Looks like we are down to about 25 MPH on this hill.
Must be TK friend that's along for the ride.
The camera has been on a half hour.
This could be a good test to see if the new aircard works better across Wyoming than the old one. Most of Wyoming has less than good cell coverage.
OK - got the cam now.

Guess we reached the limit of the Utah central valley cell coverage.

Not getting anything here right now either. Looks like Steve's little walkie-talkie card isn't making the connection at his current location.
Oh I see Lee - thanks.
You would think that living only 5 miles from Camstreams office I would get a good signal. LOL !!!!!
Only if Camstreams is getting a good signal from Steve. We're back on now.
UP, UP AND AWAY.

Rockie mountain high.
BRS can you gain any speed over the speed limiter going downhill?
Or is 11th. gear (Georgia overdrive) the only way?

Yipeeee!!!! Beautiful picture on the cam.
Now if I can find where my pictures are on this Vista, I'll post 4th of July pics.
Taco, you're not gonna like the way Vista handles pictures!
lol, so far it seems to be ok, but haven't used it much yet. Posted 1 new pic in lounge. Have to take some more today.
Lee - that sounds very complicated. Way beyond anything I can understand.

I think we may be at Rock Springs, Wyoming again.
