Time to stretch and get something to eat. TK, hold my place, please.

No iced tea? I be here and ready. Keeping TK company.

What thing were you talking about dottie? You all want the camera facing the side? No front view? No roadview? Nothing but a sideways camera view???? Personally, I donot think that would be good. LOL. Is thatwhat you are asking?

Curious said...

BRS, roll down the side window and the wind can also blow into her ears!!!!!

Dottie said...

No, Steve, not a complete side view, just angled to the right a tad so we can see more of the desert scenery. Is that possible?

Taco said...

Sure am glad no children use my computer. Went to check my windows media player to see which version I have. Got an eye full of porn. I'm the only one who uses this computer. Now how did that get there?
My daughter will be here for dinner..she will know how to find out! Just too scary to think of children using computer.

Taco said...

If the window is down, JV's hair will be mussed.

Dottie said...

No.t permanently, just in Southern AZ

Just Vicky said...

Or my hair will be flying in your face Taco!

ualady said...

Oh goodness...don't muss JV's hair...she'll get the hair dryer going...then there will be a fine mist of hairspray all over the place. Keep the window up!

i put the camera as far to the side as it will go. Jiggles will probably increase, but I do agree to let you all judge and see it for yourself. I will pull over in a little bit, and read your comments. Remember, dont kill the cameraman....I am only trying out a suggestion. LOL

It does rain in the desert!!!
Where are the BUGS for bug juice?
What's the temp. out there.
I think she meant in addition to. Third camera. If it rains there must be water in the desert.

ualady said...

Ok Dottie...don't look in the side mirror!

Curious said...

I guess riding "side saddle" will be the dash style for a while. Not too confortable that way, though!!!!!! Maybe it is called "angle parking".

Lee said...

BRS, just checked the weather west of you. There are flash flood warnings between you and Tucson. Drive careful.

Taco said...

YAHOOOO!!! Off we go!

Curious said...

No, not good. Riding the shoulder it seems and looking cross-eyed!!!!! TK, help us out, we "NO Like".

Dottie said...

Don't complicate things, DOE! I did not mean an additional camera. I think Steve is irritated enuff already!

If I get a vote I prefer front road view. Looks like your on your way to Deming or Lordsburg .
Thanks
Hank

ualady said...

Hmmmm...Hank's ignoring me.

Curious said...

Wide-screen web cam. Dottie, will that work? BRS, how much does one of those cost? I prefer the straight-ahead driving, please!!!!!

Lee said...

Dorothy (my wife) likes it better forward. Wants to see the car ahead before we hit it.LOL

Curious said...

Quick, move the webcam back before TK snags that extra space for her territory!!!!!

Virtual Traveller said...

I think it would be nice if Dottie could see a saguaro but in general I think the cam works best facing the road.

Curious said...

Thanks, BRS. Much better viewing looking to the road. My pretending to drive and honking the air-horn works better now.

ualady said...

Lesson learned - do not blow air horn inside house.

Curious said...

Hi ualady. But, getting everyone's attention is the main focus!!!!! TK understands that, too!!!!!!

Lee said...

The cell link is really hanging in there today. Last time we went thru this area it was out more than in. Looks like the new aircard has much better RF sensitivity.

The Duke Of Earl. said...

Sorry Dottie.....I would say wierd riding side ways. Widescreen uses too much band width? Good llke it is. A better camera...too much money.

Dottie said...

I agree with the rest of the Road Crew, Steve....that was too far to the right, expecially on a murky afternoon. I didn't mean a radical change of view, just a TAD! Thanks for trying and thanks, Road Crew, for your patience.

Curious said...

Dottie - out of fairness to your suggestion, I would have liked seeing as though I am riding in the passenger seat, too. With the webcam on the dash, it doesn't have that panning capability as we have found out now. Good suggestion, though.

ualady said...

Well the only way we haven't tried the cam is upside down. Wonder what that would look like...lol.

The Duke Of Earl. said...

It would look like an upside down world. And chicken little would be right............hehehe.

Lee said...

VT-It's not the only way we haven't tried. I saw this on another trucker site. Point the camera toward the back of the truck into a mirror so that we see out the front of the truck through the mirror. Everything will appear as if we are driving in ENGLAND on the wrong side of the road. LOL Then if you stand in front of the TV looking in a mirror, it will look OK again.

ualady said...

LOL...I saw that BRS!!!! It was a nice vid. Thanks for trying!

Virtual Traveller said...

I just saw the cam upside down and then I read the blog. You are giving Steve ideas UALady!

Lee - it's you that drives on the wrong side of the road!!!

Lee said...

To VT. The reason you drive on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD is because the British car designers put the steering wheel on the WRONG side of the car. Dorothy (my wife) hopes you understand my sense of humor. She thinks I'm am a little weird.

Virtual Traveller said...

That's ok Lee - my husband is as weird as you! I need to Google why we drive on the left! But so do the Japanese, Aussies & Kiwis! Don't know who else.

Lee said...

What, no comment about me being a little weird? LOL There must be some opinion after the last several weeks of my strange comments. Go ahead, say your piece. I won't be offended.

Virtual Traveller said...

Well Lee - you could explain to a technical novice what RF sensitivity means.

Dottie said...

Thanks, Curious! I really stirred up an ant bed didn't I?!!!

Lee, no one can say you are weird after my weird request today!

As it ever occured to majority here (Americans) that WE drive on the wrong side of the road?

(The only way I know to get out of this antbed is to stir up another one.)

Virtual Traveller said...

See you all tomorrow 2.15AM here.

Great run today Steve - thank you

Lee said...

To VT -- RF is short for RADIO FREQUENCY. The sensitivity rating of a radio receiver is based on how many microvolts of radio energy is required to be present for a particular receiver to reconize the signal above the noise level. I hope that's not too technical. I spelled RECOGNIZE your way.

ualady said...

dottie...put cornmeal on ant beds...kills the ants pronto...

mohogan said...

as far as camera angle, I would like to see it slightly behind you so we could see you, TK, and a little road view. It probably wouldn't work real well on a bright sunny day, but on a cloudy day it might work.

Lee said...

Ant beds are not my current problem. My current problem is a major infestation of GOPHERS. What to do about them?

ualady said...

Not asking for much are ya Mo?

Lee...find out what the natural predator of gophers are.

Lee said...

Sorry, FERRETS are illegal to own as pets in California. That doesn't stop the half million FERRET owners here.

Curious said...

TK is the only one who can ride upside down, so let's just be happy BRS has new airtime card and we can see the road, and whatever else he offers to us for FREE!!!!!

We should be paying customers since he goes through soooo much to please us.

ualady said...

Yup Curious we should be but since that's not a requirement there is a donate button!

Virtual Traveller said...

Lee - Thanks for the explanation!

We spell it RECOGNISE!!!
