I just might have to see if another trucker will stop by here and get this "box"!

Every so often I see a COMMENT deleted by author. How do you do that?

BigRigSteve said...

ya hit the trashcan under your comment. That will ask you if you want to really, really, really delete your comment

Just Vicky said...

Only the person saying it can delete it.

I guess since I'm only signed with my name and not as a real Blogger I don't get a trashcan. Don't see one.

Just Vicky said...

Must be the case Lee, sorry!

That leaning tree I see in front of you is typical of many trees in southern California. The soil here is so bad and so shallow on top of the clay the root structure never goes very deep. Over time they lean further and further until we get a windy rain storm and then they just fall down.

Howdy all! Utah will be happy to have you back! To bad it is such a fast trip!

Well I see I got part of my wish. BRS is going to go right through Las Vegas. Only problem is it is a day early for us.Oh well maybe he will do a return trip while we are there. :{ :{ :{

Here I am as a real Blogger I think.

Lee-CA said...

Now i have a trashcan on my screen!

Woo-hoo, that's another road we've driven on - as far as the I15/I70 junction anyway. The scenery is spectacular just north of Las Vegas

Just Vicky said...

This is a day of education for Lee and VT! Way to go road crew kids!

Virtual Traveller said...

I was just thinking that JV.

Lee - I am always amazed to see street trees in CA that we can only grow as house plants. I'm thinking of the ficus mainly.

mohogan said...

When is the next load due at reciever?

Lee-CA said...

There are a lot of different kinds of trees that will grow here, but they have to be somewhat drought tolerant and deciduous types don't do too well because our winters are not cold enough.

0400 07/02

mohogan said...

The date isn't too bad anyway!

BigRigSteve said...

well, tight because I will have tonight some, then sleep, then drive tomorrow, then deliver at 0400. The max I can do is 625 miles in one day, even less this trip because I will be heavy and have some seriously long grades to climb in the heat! When I go up the mountins above LA, my average speed is about 25 MPH, and the climb is over 20 miles long!

That makes for a tired puppy...I mean kitty. You stay sharp out there.

Hi Taco - been missing you!

Lee-CA said...

Well Steve, Cajon Pass isn't too bad. Reasonably good wide road. Wind can be troublesome every so often it's better than the Grapevine north of L.A. or over Loveland Pass to Denver.

ty wb1965. I have a very good program, but like SIL says, they can only block what they know about. Someone has to be among the first to get infected before they make a fix.
Missing you too VT. Be back later..have dental appointment to go to shortly.

There are several free anti-virus programs out there. The one most people say is the best is AVG. The downside of the free ones is there is no quality control of accuracy and frequency of updates to the data base for the new viruses that pop out of the woodwork on a daily basis. I use Norton and I have to pay (it's reasonable) which updates several times each day and is from an established reputable company.

Re: BRS entry above - He will also hit A LOT of the end of day traffic going up to the upper desert. Many people from there work down here in the L.A. basin and go back home. Traffic wise at this time can at times be horrific. Plus you have the 215 and 15 merging traffic from the San Bernardino/Riverside area also before going up the hill. If there were a choice 4 - 7 p.m. would not be a good time to go. However, a truck driver must do what truck drivers do. Hummmm?
Have a good trip.

Lee-CA said...

By the way Steve, you left the little jog from Cheyenne to Denver off your accumulating map.

BigRigSteve said...

I have not been to Denver since June 1st.

It's AVG.FREE around here. No porn comes thru. If you want to pay for the upgrade it's as good as any but cheaper.

Virtual Traveller said...

I use AVG free - it sems to work OK. It updates daily.
