It's all fun and games until somebody gets their eye poked out!

Well, somebody got their eye poked out. Literally. And it was me.

I was playing hide and seek with TK by hiding my head under the blanket so that just one eye would slowly peek out, and spy on TK. TK would hide in her house behind the little door she has so that just one eye and an ear shows as she spies on me. We did that back and forth trying to see who was going to look at the other one without being seen first.

TK does not play long at all before she decides to tackle the issue closeup. But, I can feel her coming closer to me as she steps all over me trying to be sneaky. This time she won. Even though I KNEW she would be eyeball to eyeball with me next time I peeked out from the blanket, I had no idea what was coming next.

As I moved the blanket, I prepared to get clobbered as usual. But this time, she extended her paw and made PAW TO EYEBALL contact. Full force, like only a cat can move that quick! No, she did not hit me in the general eye area. She hit me so fast, she actually got her paw in my eye before I had the chance to shut my eyelids!! Yes, it hurts. Glad she is declawed!!

I can just see it now if I were to go to the doctor...."How did you get a damaged eyeball, Mr. Michaels?" "Well, Doctor, my cat punched me in the eye!"

Guess you were right Mom- and somebody just got their eye poked out!

Nope, Duke.....I have been sitting in the same area since 530AM......so here shortly, it will count as a 10 hour break, and all my hours for today go back to 0...which means I will have a fresh set of 11 hours. I wont drive the 11, but it does give me time to go to the shipper, get loaded, and drive as long as I want until i get tired. The more miles I get under my belt tonight, the less miles I will have to cover tomorrow. :)

When I read past blogs about the food a trucker eats, I have to tell you, a can of beefaroni & corn will put food in your stomach so you can sleep! And is a smarter choice than a square box of delivery cholestrol & artery jammers!
But like he said, he is too old for a sitter.
I got on here because I have a story for you.

Our granddaughter lived with us a while when Steve was doing the rodeo thing. He'd come home & let her wear his hat & fancy chaps. (Which she had to drape around her neck). She followed him everywhere she could.
In school one day she wrote a story for an assignment in class. She wrote about her Uncle Steve being a cowboy & drew some pictures in crayon to illustrate it.
She said several things about him & had a horse picture & a wide river flowing from one end of the page to another.
Underneath she wrote, "Cowboys eat beans & drink river water for supper."
Now, sorta makes that beefaroni & corn sound decent.

I hope TK did not scratch your cornea...I scratched mine once and it is very painful and takes about two weeks to heal.

I was on my tippy=toes peering into a paper grocery bag sitting on the counter....Yowch! I had no idea something like that could happen! Bad week! Paper cut to the cornea!

Sorry about your eye injury; hope it heals soon.
Thanks for going to be on the lookout for a "split axle" driver to talk to about that configuration.

I scratched mine once, too. Indeedy it is painful for a long time! I feared such a thing for him, but we talked maybe 2 hours after it happened & he thinks it's okay now. Thank the Lord.
