Today we wil be using the new aircard all day. I want to check the quality and how much bandwidth we actually use today. Hopefully it will be better coverage than the old card.

Good morning BRS and TK. What a wonderful story and oh so true. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and safe travels.
Top of the morning from Central Wisconsin. Last nights rain brought the tempurture down a bit and it will be a beautiful day. AZ here we come. The picture is a bit sharper and depth of field goes out farther.
Good morning BRS, Tk and RC. Thank you for answering my question about the truck.Just one more - how many miles do you have to do before you get a new one? Nice to talk to you in the lounge last night. Have a good day.
Good morning everyone. I don't know if the new card Steve is using for broadband has anything to do with me getting the webcam but last night I got the webcam for more than a second and then today I am getting the webcam just fine.
What I don't understand is why, at the moment, I can only get the stream on Camtreams site on not on the BRT site. Sometimrs visa versa. Also why would the image be better when it is the same cam? Unless a better signal sends more mega bites. It is always better on a sunny day as well.
Good morning all. Got the cam, froze a few times, for short periods. But the neat thing is, I can read the overhead signs! Hope all are having a great Sunday! Have a safe drive BRS and TK.
Sorry ualady you will have to wait until the end of the week for your rain dance. I sent some last night but I missed and it was just a little across the southern part of the state. 73º now 79º high clear in the Dells.
Hi Everyone! I am getting an excellent picture now, but it was off and on this am. I am actually watching Steve PASSING a big rig! How exciting is that?
Seriously, we are 30 min. past his last stop which I missed because of lunch and this is the clearest pic I have seen. Can't wait till we get to El Paso so I can see if I can read the signs also.
"a wonderful video stream is sort of wasted on much of West Texas" What!?! I can't believe anyone would say that!
Really I'm smiling as I type this. Be sure you know that.
I love the wide open spaces. They aren't empty at all. But I know not everybody can see the things that are to be seen. Some of the cactus have red halos. I've seen coyote chasing small animals in a burst of excitement. I've seen a distant dust devil perhaps a couple stories high. Rabbits will pop out of the cresote bush. Your view is so unobstructed that you can watch a thunderhead build for several hours before you drive thru the coolness & see an arroyo filling. There's hidden coolies (draws) out there that fool you until you are right up on them, then you realize an army could be concealed in one.
TL is right...the desert is full of mysteries. To ride through the desert at dawn on horseback is a real treat for the eyes and all the rest of the senses.
Texas Lady, you just gave me an idea. It is on my bucket list to see a saguaro. Do you (and everyone else) think Steve could turn the cam a tad more to the side of the road so we could see mmore of the countryside? Or would it make us dizzy?
He will read these comments & see your suggestions. He has talked of adding a side window camera. No, it wouldn't make you dizzy in wide open spaces & all most places he drives the truck. I filmed on the Natchez Trace out the side window of a car & the trees were so close, it had a little of the effect you suspect when the trees are right up in your face. Steve will not usually be in those conditions, except by buildings on the tighter deliveries, then straight ahead would be needed.
For those of you having problems with different browsers, it is most probably related to the version of WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER you have on your computer. My computer uses WMP version 6.4-- on Firefox, but uses version 9.-- on some others, and uses WMP version 11 (the latest) on Google Chrome. They all work well on my computer but, may not on others depending what version browser you are using.

Good Morning BRS, TK, and RC!!!!
Good chatting with you in the lounge last night VT! It was a wonderful surprise to see you log on.
Hey DOE...send some of the rain down South. We need it!
Hi UALady - good talking to you too:). I have sent you an email.
I was getting a very good picture but just lost it. Must be in the boondocks!!!!!
Perhaps it as well - I need to do some work - clearing junk! :(

Not getting the cam at all now.
I talked too soon, I only get the cam for 1 second now.

Mountain Time 11:15AM.
Good news is a really crystal clear video stream for over an hour now.
Bad news is that I am still piggybacking off neighbors wireless.
Neutral news is that a wonderful video stream is sort of wasted on much of West Texas. Nice weather tho. Fin

LOL, sounds like we are having fun!
Dottie, I saw the truck being passed too! Wowzer! :o)
Clear and stable cam pic here Thanks.
Taco - what overhead signs are you talking about? I haven't seen one for miles and miles!
Even tho I lose the cam for a very short period, this is holding out much better then in the past. I am seeing parts of TX that I couldn't see before.
You too funny ualady!
Hope we don't run out of gas! This is a long piece of road.
Sure am enjuying the puffy cloud formations as we ride along endless stretches of road

Well, enough, I have things to do! ha.
BRS deserves a tall, cool, Ice tea, after this drive, and TK a kitty treat!
TL is right...the desert is full of mysteries. To ride through the desert at dawn on horseback is a real treat for the eyes and all the rest of the senses.
Oh, and an early morning breakfast cooked in the desert just west of ElPaso!!

LaLou, sounds like you've had that breakfast!
Even the storm clouds look pretty breathtaking!
I had been wishing it were turned a tad to the right to give it a try that way. If we got dizzy we could ask him please turn it back straight! ha.
Yes, Taco, I have. Years ago when children were young.

I was sorta joking about West Texas being a waste of video. Wondering whether anyone would pick up on it. Pic still good at 1PM Mt Time.
If I'm not mistaken all the saguaros are in Southern Arizona, & none in Texas. I think.
Yes, Fin, I think everyone knew you were joking. I just felt like writing a paperback novel! ha. ha.
What's a saguaro please? Dumb English person here!
VT,They are the big cacti that grow in southern AZ with the "arms" that Steve had pics of in the slide show a while back.
BTW, a new blog is up!
