TK is on the dash chasing the people that walk by, birds that are walking on the ground, and trying to knock the camera clean off the windshield!

We will be hanging out here for a little while, and hit the road to the shipper just before lunchtime. Our pickup appointment is late this afternoon.

I have not forgotten about "Why I changed careers" into trucking, just have not really had the time to think and write it out yet. It is coming up one of these days soon, promise! So hang tight for awhile today.

To answer your questions about speed limiters. No. Not every company uses them. It is entirely up to each company/individual if they use it, and what speed they set it at.

And, all trucking companies/individuals in the US must follow the same Federal hours rules, and other motor carrier rules. But as far as everything else, everybody has slightly different rules according to how they get loads, time off, etc.

Good morning all! At least you are getting a nice little break. You deserve it after all that running around the past few days. I was getting tired just reading about it.

Mornin' all!

Steve, how far is it from Fort Worth to San Antonio and how will you get there?

Was reading your story about leashing TK. Here's one for you.. Our cats go on late night walks with us and the dogs. No leashes for the cats. People get a kick out of it when they see it. The cats usually stay close to buildings and bushes to give them some cover but they follow us wherever we go. We stick to quiet streets so there isn't much traffic.

I had a former neighbor who would go walking with his dog, cat, and children. The dog was on a leash, but the cat would follow along right beside them unleash just like the dog. It was an amusing sight, to say the least.

FTW to SA is 250 miles, and I will take the truck in case there is a load ready near there.

good morning everyone. I'm usually lurking but today I have a question for BRS. Since your blog has taken off (and you're a big celebrity now *wink*), do other truck drivers come up to you and tell you that they have family/friends that enjoy your site and follow the blog?

BigRigSteve said...

not really the blog, but they see the door signs, and they check out the website. I have gottenemails that said they parked next to me here or there, etc.

WARNING coming up next POST in 3, 2, 1.

Mornin, TK provided a good view of the sky yesterday but you caught it right away. Are you paid hub miles? The wheels are not turning! Long run for a pick-up. I figured you were from Dallas, you know a lot about the area. Look at a dv9000 series HP 4G RAM up to 8 when Tob. crashes. Get a 15 foot antenna!!!!! If you need any help in Chicago, ask me. Earl.
