Hi Steve and TK! Thanks for the wave!

Looks to me like you have one cool kat! That was sweeet! Safe driving! yucky weather

TK looks heavy, Steve! How much does she weigh? The more I see her and look at her pictures, the more I think she has some Maine Coon in her heritage. My daughter once had a Maine Coon, such a good-natured breed, but they have a bit of wanderlust. Thanks for the wave, you two!

Whee! I finally saw you and TK. Thanks. That looked like a peaceful rural area to take a break.

Oh, I'm here finally. Fighting a cold and little sleep. So I missed the big wave today, darn it.

Good morning/afternoon, everyone!

I had no idea it was so flat where Steve is right now, which looks to be very close to Memphis.

Question. Everyone wishes you sunny days. I would think cloudy makes easier driving -- without glare.

Me, I can't even read the huge interstate roadsigns when the sun is right behind them. So, which do you prefer, sunny or cloudy (not rain mind.)

Hi everyone-- Texas Lady here-- Steve said I could satisfy the curiosity I stirred up about TK’s “babies”. She has a furry hedgehog, a red lobster, & pink pig. These are all just a little bigger than the average cat toy. She doesn’t swat these around & play air hockey with them. Her maternal instincts are apparently being met by mothering these. She routinely carries them to different places, as is the nature of a cat. Sometime they are in her “fort” (her carrier) or in a corner of the bed, or a corner of the dash, or the closet. Steve never knows the next place. But if he picks one up, even if she is sound asleep, she come to the defense & screech. I’m sure she is saying “hands off or else!” Steve likes to kid her sometimes (I know, not nice) & tosses one up in the air--she goes ballistic then, & retrieves it. Isn't that cute? Was it worth waiting for? Yes, you are allowed to reprimand Steve for tossing her babies. ha ha --Texas Lady

Thanks for that little tid bit on TK. Yes it was worth waiting for. She is sure a lucky kitty to have a grandma like you. Are you haveing a birthday party for her?

Thanks Steve's Mom (texas lady) She is a lucky kitty to have a dad like Steve and a grandma like you... :)

Hi Peggy -- TK is lucky to have Steve, too. He loves her alot. Really wasn't thinking of a B-day party though. Coming from a farming past is wasn't the usual thing to have parties for the animals. I'll think about it! What does one wear to a cat b-day party?? Just kidding ya! --Texas Lady

You are funny, Texas lady! --Sandy

Welllllllll I am not sure but I think a sweatshirt or tee-shirt with Kitty toys on it would be appropriate. Yes she is very lucky to have a daddy like Steve also. I beleive she is loved by your whole family.

Hmmmm...what to wear to TK's Birthday Party. You could sew those crunchy sounding cat ball toys on your clothes and then sprinkle them with cat nip.lol. Yes, TK is lucky to have Steve, and just think, she was such a sick little kitten with a grim outlook when she found her way into Steve's arms and now, she's a beautiful, happy truck kat....what a happy ending.

Good eye Dottie...

I thought she looked like a Maine Coon too. I sent Steve an email asking if he knew her breed but I never heard anything back.

Maine Coons are beautiful cats. We have 6 of them. They can get huge. The males tend to be larger than the females. We have one boy and he weighs between 25 and 30 lbs and is still growing. Maine Coons will grow for the first 5 years of their life.

I was wondering if you had TK declawed Steve? If not, I found that a PediPaw works excellent for filing down their claws.

Good Morning to the BRS road crew... Darn it I always miss TK's wave..:) Hope your day goes smooth.. Steve if the T-shirts are happening could we get a ladies size med?? Some of the Med mens sizes are way too big..Just a thought...Shady from Washington

Thank you so much, Steve's Mom. That was a good description of how TK treats her babies. You are a lucky Mom to be able to travel along with your son everyday and thanks for sharing him with us. You did a wonderful job raising such a nice boy.

BRS. Did you stop at Browns and have a bite to eat? Thats a good place to catch a good buffet.

Thanks Tammy.

Well if TK has two more years to grow, There won't be room for both of them in the truck! I was amazed at her size when Steve held her up.

Of all the cats my daughter had, her Maine Coon was one of my favorites, but had a bad tendency to wander if she could slip past you at the door. She got lost twice and was found. the third time she was gone forever. She turned up in a neighboring town about 20 miles away and my daughter let the lady keep her since she was about to move to a place that didn't accept pets.

Dottie..

Yeah, they do like the great outdoors. Of the six we have, they all stick close to home. I had only had indoor cats until I got with my husband and he had always had cats that were allowed to roam. Needless to say, he won the debate on how we would handle our brood. Through a death in the family we inherited nine cats and a dog to add to our four cats and two dogs. We have a house full. Of all the cats three are indoor and the rest are roamers but they come home every night. We walk the dogs late at night and all of the roamers will go with us on the walks. They stay within one or two houses of where we are walking and usually run from bush to bush trying to conceal where they are. They chase each other up trees and have a grand old time. If we call them they come running. It is quite a sight. If people see us with them they are amazed.

Steve couldn't have a better breed of cat as a companion if TK is a Coon. They become very attached to their caretakers. Not like some cats that will always be very independent.

I wish I'd seen TK when Steve had her in front of the webcam. I bet she is a beautiful cat.
