Ok, welcome to the world of trucking!

Change of plans. Talked to the shipper here, and they will not even get me loaded before 1AM Eastern time.

So, I am going to drop my trailer here, and bobtail to the corner truckstop for the night.

Guess this job would take patience.

Just Vicky said...

That was a quick trip!

BigRigSteve said...

Anonymous said...

Hope there is some place for you to eat Steve..Does not look like much there...Shady

Just Vicky said...

After tonight he just might be ready to take me up on that microwave offer! LOL

Red said...

I'm outta here now.

Anonymous said...

I sure was hoping for a jig when he got out of the truck.

BigRigSteve said...

Anonymous said...

Nite Steve...Hope tomorrow is better for you...Nite TK Shady

Anonymous said...

Mud bath! Sleep tight you and Queen TK!

Anonymous said...

Did he eat that fast? He's not going to sleep on a empty stomach, is he?

Anonymous said...

Steve- that explains how you were able to make such a sharp turn in the truckstop lot - I thought you were about jacknifin' a full trailer through there! LOL In the event you have time to kill tonight in that not-so-busy looking c store lot, was wondering if you could shed some light on a topic - trip scheduling. Such as, how long are you given to make deliveries - is there an industry standard for how long it should take per the distance, or does your employer calculate? And how much spare time is factored in? I ask because it seemed you really pushed it yesterday, and then got up early today to finish. Did you have to? Or do you just like to get it done to be ready for the next trip sooner - more trips, more pay, right? (as long as you adher to fed rules). Now that you won't be starting til next am, has Ky receiver been informed and arrival time revised? Many more questions, but you get the idea. (Glad you liked Dunston's). ML in Dallas.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he just wants some time to his self. We could be wearing him out. Just a thought. We can be pretty time consuming. :O)

BigRigSteve said...

LOL. this place does not look all that great for food. LOL. I will just pop open a can of mac and cheese:)

ok, see ya'll later:)

ualady said...

Now wait a minute! I just got here!! So I'm the number 2 troublemaker? How in the world did I get that title?

Anonymous said...

All you girls need is 2 more troublemakes and you can be this truckers troublesome 10.

Anonymous said...

And I think you got bumped to #2 because queen TK is always in the #1 post.

Just Vicky said...

lol Ualady! The Queen bumped us both down one notch! I guess all females can join in this select group with TK!

Anonymous said...

OH well, could be worse, I got bumped from 4 to 6! Lost 2 positions somehow. I liked 4 because it is my house number. :O)

Just Vicky said...

Opening a can of Mac n Cheese???

FinnFam said...

Maybe MRE leftovers or something.

Just Vicky said...

Only TK knows that answer!

ualady said...

But me a troublemaker? Since when?

Anonymous said...

hi steve, well it looks like a nice trip for you tommorrow miles wise, if the roads aint slick, which harder for you, traveling from west to east where the time change makes the day "shorter" or going east to west where the days are "longer" for example last week you were out here in nm,at this time i just fed the horses and its daylite, your in the east now at the same time where its dark and your in the bunk unless your eating or playing flashlite games with tk

Just Vicky said...

Ualady, Steve called you that a day or so back and called me the Co-Trouble maker remember?

Anonymous said...

I know what smell your experincing. Once rented a house from a guy that raised chickens for Pilgrim Pride and about 30 miles from where I live, the Pilgrim Pride WV plant is located at. Just don't drink the water.haha......Brings back memories and I DO feel your pain!

ualady said...

Boy I missed that one Vicky! TK - hog BRS's pillow!!! Really make some trouble.

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm, I thought he was referring to certain "nameless" persons. lol

ualady said...

Evening Tacoma! Seems I missed all the chicken smell...yippee! Bet that is a hassle to park in a nonpaved parking lot. BSR - watch your step!!

Anonymous said...

LOL, he was trying to hold his breath, while TK was salivating!

Just Vicky said...

I stand corrected! Now I'll have to go find it!

Anonymous said...

JustVicky, are you referring to the trouble maker statement?

pboutwell said...

I posted earlier today, and made comments to Steve.

Well, I forgot to be nice, and tell all the ladies on here hello too. You are what make this blogging thing the most fun.

I'm just another fan of BRT, but I get a laugh all the time from everyone. Thanks girls! and the guys too. sorry.

ualady said...

From the earlier post comments...seems I'm in some fine company of troublemakers!

Anonymous said...

pboutwell, evening!!!

Wr enjoy hearing from you too. Was it your wife talked about the buttering?

ualady said...

Evening pboutwell...glad to see you joining us!

Anonymous said...

LOL my cat just fell in my garbage can! Small gav, can in my puter room. She has the worse balance and not a good jumper.

pboutwell said...

yes, my wife said the buttering comment. I'll never forget it. She only gets on here to play solitaire, or other games, not much on the typing. She says "if I wanted to type i'd work in an office". Thats ok. Anyway ladies, you all have a good night, we love ya. But gotta go, we'll be reading later.

Just Vicky said...

Yes Taco I was referring to the trouble maker statement and I recall getting the title Co and I replied I wear that title proudly!

Hi pboutwell! Join right in and keep us straight!

Anonymous said...

Well, I thought that was too cute. I got and still get a smile from it. I can see how that would happen when not wearing glasses. Does she play the POGO site?

Just Vicky said...

Well Taco don't take the trash out!!!!

Anonymous said...

Hey, I am here now and can I be a trouble-maker, too? LOL! My internet was down for several hours this afternoon. Just got it back.

ualady said...

Hey IA SAHmom ... I had a question earlier...have you been to the Iowa 80 truckstop truck show?

Anonymous said...

Can someone tell me why my password for the blog will not be accepted? I had to change it aleast 8 times in order to sign in. Thanks

Just Vicky said...

Of course you can be a trouble maker IA!! No test to pass, no degrees required! BUT YOU HAVE TO LOVE TK!

Just Vicky said...

Oh boy Aquarius2! Did you have cap locks on or some sort of thing? And you are sure you completed your account registration? Just shooting from the hip here.

Anonymous said...

Tacomagram...I play at Pogo...great game site.

Anonymous said...

LOL she tipped it over and got out. We rescued her from pound. She is bow legged in back legs, only squeeks real quietly and wants to drink from the toilet or tub. I wonder if some college boys had her and didn't take proper care. Doesn't know how to retract her claws either. Ouch!

Hi IA SAHmom, glad to see you back!Honey, we all knew you were part of the "gang"

Anonymous said...

Just Vicky...I did activate account and no caps on. I must be doing something wrong...as usual..*L*

Anonymous said...

BRS seems to have replaced POGO for me. Just play a bit before I go to bed.

Just Vicky said...

We babble on and he sleeps with a fur collar! And we get to be his guards while he sleeps!

ualady said...

I play on the pogo site. Really like it.

Anonymous said...

What, no guard kat?

Anonymous said...

Maybe BRS plays poker on pogo.

ualady said...

LOL...you may be on to something tacoma

Just Vicky said...

Well he better be sleeping this time! Our Queen of the Road needs an alert rested driver!

Anonymous said...

Wonder if he will let me donate tokens to BRS site? lol

ualady said...

can we do that tacoma?

Anonymous said...

no

ualady said...

wonder if BRS can control the google ads on his site? I saw one that almost made me fall out of my chair. And of course I had to click on it just to see what it was.

Anonymous said...

all we could do, lose to him on purpose in poker. Just 2 player room. Something like that.

Anonymous said...

Now you got me curious. Don't see anything. What was it?

Anonymous said...

How is TK and your trip going?

ualady said...

Hi Ethan from Alabama! TK is loving the stop at the chicken plant but Steve isn't!

Anonymous said...

Hi Ethan! Do you have school tomorrow?

Just Vicky said...

Hi Ethan from Illinois! Steve & TK are suppose to be sleeping right now!

ualady said...

tacoma...the ad had to do with finding horns and women...get my drift? I don't see it on here now.

Anonymous said...

LOL Oh my! Rofl

Anonymous said...

Okay, I'm back again, after getting the kids in bed. I'm off and on here all day long; I had foot surgery in Feb. and have been recliner-bound since then as I recover.
So I have plenty of time to be a trouble-maker!! But I can't be when my internet goes down like it did today . . .

ualady, no, I haven't been to the Walcott truck show. We just once in a while go and eat there. It's a huge truckstop.

ualady said...

Don't hurt yourself laughing tacoma!

ualady said...

I've seen pictures. Would love to visit there during their truck show.

Just Vicky said...

Please control yourself Tacoma!!

Anonymous said...

I think the ads appear when key words show up in the blogs here. Google has it set up that way.

Just Vicky said...

When is the truck show Ualady?

Anonymous said...

Got to go out for a bit. Be back soon. NOW....No Trouble till I get back...teehee

Just Vicky said...

We pass it in route to friends in Des Moines.

Anonymous said...

Yep, you can't miss the I-80 truckstop, night or day . . . it's huge and it's totally lit up at night!

ualady said...

walcott, iowa

ualady said...

you can google it by entering I-80 iowa truck stop

Just Vicky said...

July 9-10th Some kind of huge affair it seems!!!

Just Vicky said...

Wonder if BRS will be there this year?

ualady said...

It's very big - almost like a county fair. Wonder if BRS has been to one of their truck shows.

ualady said...

GMTA - great minds think alike!

ualady said...

Vicky... We need to encourage BRS to enter TK into the Pet of the Day at the PetSmart website.

Just Vicky said...

Well that's how Co-workers think you know, ALIKE!

Maybe he will read this and will say something.

Just Vicky said...

Now about that Pet of the Week at Petsmart, can we enter TK?

ualady said...

well he needs to go to pets.com to register her. that is if he reads this.

Just Vicky said...

Now remember, he told us he reads EVERYTHING!

ualady said...

No you have to upload a picture of her... I don't know her birthday either.

Just Vicky said...

If ever a cat deserved to be honored, it would be Our TK!

ualady said...

laughing...found another questionable google ad...and of course I had to click on it to see what it was... didn't someone say that curiosity kills the cat?

Just Vicky said...

Well may have to email him and get statistics on our Beauty Queen!

ualady said...

well this team of troublemakers needs to keep reminding BRS that TK deserves to be entered into their contest.

Just Vicky said...

Yes Maam!! You are our leader!

Just Vicky said...

#3 understands the orders!

ualady said...

have y'all checked that site out ... www.pets.com?

Just Vicky said...

BRS, ENTER TK INTO PETSMART'S PET OF THE WEEK CONTEST ASAP!

Just Vicky said...

How'd I do ualady?

Just Vicky said...

And on that note I need to say goodnight! Thanks for keeping me company! See ya'll tomorrow!

ualady said...

that was just fine....oh we would have to know BRS's birthday! guess they want to make sure he's over 18

ualady said...

night vicky....see you on the flip flop!

Just Vicky said...

Now he just might NOT be over 18! lol

ualady said...

nah he is! maybe not over 40!

Anonymous said...

I'm glad he DOES read all his comments, because there was ONE question about his trucking tucked in amongst 105 comments. [106 when I hit transmit]

ualady said...

actually two! truck shows are a part of trucking.

pboutwell said...

I've been to that truck stop. biggest ts in the country, or so they say. It is big though. Had to take a hike just to go get some food. I'll never forget that. I've told the wife here, "I'm takin' you to the biggest ts in the world", but we haven't gone yet. After 9 years she now reminds me about it. (I was trying to forget), thanks everybody, now she wants to go again!
have a good night everybody!

Anonymous said...

Steve, you must have had a time change again on picking up that load. It's 12:30 a.m. here, which I believe is 1:30 a.m. where you are. I haven't seen you move yet!
I'm guessing that typically the loading schedule is rather fluid?

Anonymous said...

LOL! I spoke too soon! Now I see you are moving on out!

Anonymous said...

Looks like shift change time

Anonymous said...

Looks like we got a cup of coffee and we're on our way. Safe drive BRS and TK.

Anonymous said...

Well, Steve, it looks like you are going on down the road again. I wish you safe travels. TK, keep Steve awake!

Anonymous said...

Oh, did anyone else see that deer on the side of the road? Be careful, Steve!

Anonymous said...

I was just wondering about deer!

kanabgal said...

Morning Everyone!

Anonymous said...

Morning . . . LOL! I haven't been to bed yet . . .

kanabgal said...

This looks like a baddd movie!!

kanabgal said...

Me neither!

Anonymous said...

I decided to check to see if he got launched at 1. Big mistake. Here I am, still watching instead of getting my beauty sleep.

kanabgal said...

Tacomagram you still there??

kanabgal said...

I'm in Utah so it is actually only 12:23.

Anonymous said...

Yes I am, Morning or whatever to you kanabgal.

kanabgal said...

I know what you mean though - I have become an addict too

jilli said...

Good morning Steve & TK and all you lovely bloggers. Greetings from New Zealand again (that's near Australia for those whose geography is a tad rusty.) Just wanted to say... love this site, love your chatter; makes you feel like you have friends on the other side of the world.:-) Have a wonderful day; safe travels Steve.

Anonymous said...

Washington here, 11:25

Anonymous said...

jilli, welcome to you, honey

Anonymous said...

It's 1:25 here in Iowa, so I'd better get myself to bed. Steve, stay W-I-D-E away tonight and watch out for those Bambis!

Hi, Jilli; love your name! I do know where NZ is; just haven't been there yet!

TTFN.

Anonymous said...

Just so you all know, I'm changing my name to Taco.

kanabgal said...

Tacomagram - when we last spoke you said your grandchild was in Austin - my one and only grand daughter lives in Houston!! We have been to her first Christmas and first and second birthdays! It's a long ways away.

Anonymous said...

Obviously I need to go to bed --- stay wide AWAKE tonight!

jilli said...

Thank you Tacomagram!

Anonymous said...

IA SAHmom, sleep tight

kanabgal said...

Morning Jilli from the other side of the world!!

kanabgal said...

Goodnight IA

Anonymous said...

Do you drive it?

kanabgal said...

Taco better!!

kanabgal said...

Has he picked up the chicks yet??

Anonymous said...

lol shorter, too late to do much typing, you wouldn't believe how many times I had to retype what I said above lol

Anonymous said...

Yes he has, maybe frozen, hope TK not going crazy

kanabgal said...

The Christmas visit we did (last time that will happen!) flew for the bdays!

Anonymous said...

I flew for wedding and his birth. They live in Austin.

kanabgal said...

I figured he had - didn't think he was that far away from them! Know what you mean about typing! I'm beat. Had our big St. Patricks dinner fund raiser at my church tonight. I'm fellowship chairperson(only person ha!) so I head up the whole shebang. Had to come home and have a glass of wine and decompress!

Anonymous said...

They all flew up last August. Her hubby had never been here before. She drove him to Mt. Rainier and there is still snow there but nice sunny and warm. Shorts weather!

Anonymous said...

Well, I'm having my wine too! LOL Sounds like a big job for you!

kanabgal said...

How old is he? I'm with you about the cold weather -That's why we retired to Kanab. It's in southern Utah. Still have some winter but not as cold as Salt Lake and a lot more sunshine and the little snow we do get melts almost immediately.

Anonymous said...

He was 1 in Sept. Think he might be my only grand unless she has another. Her clock is ticking tho. She is 36. She wants 1 more.

kanabgal said...

I think our kids are coming this October - will be the first time here since we put the house in. They saw the land about ten years ago. It will be our 30th wedding anniversary when they come.

Anonymous said...

Congrats! That shoud be fun for you and them. We been married almost 43 yrs. (should I meant)

kanabgal said...

Boy sounds like my kids situation too! My stepdaughter is 30 but it is my stepson who is pushing more than her! My granddaughters name is Lillian but we all call her Lilly and I call her miss Lilly!

Anonymous said...

LOL cute! I call my cat Miss Kitty often! lol

kanabgal said...

Congrats to you too - it's a real challenge to be married that long! That's why I mentioned not driving to Houston again because we just about killed each other last time! HaHa. See BRS you are keeping my marraiage sound - I will just watch you do the driving!!

kanabgal said...

Ok typing is baddd! It's Liliana! Forgot an a and added and extra l. LoL.

Anonymous said...

lol, lucky me, my hubby always let me drive. But remember a trip we took shortly after we got married, in our first new car we bought. The trip was to be a few days longer, but he drove home after I was PMS'n. Narrow roads on Hurricane Ridge! Look it up sometime. In the Olympic Rain Forrest.

kanabgal said...

I know there is less traffic at night but I don't like it! Too many deer and what ever. I'm pretty night blind!

Anonymous said...

Me too now. Went to get hamburgers tonight...I seem to drive like some old person I don't know! lol

kanabgal said...

I really like your part of the country to visit. We spent a week up your way but a person needs more trip than one. Or more than a week!

Anonymous said...

Yes, I hope my daughter comes back, they missed so much, like that rain forrest.

kanabgal said...

Boy I know what you mean! I get to damn distracted too!

Anonymous said...

I did enjoy Austin, but the mosquitos knew there was fresh meat in town!

kanabgal said...

Boy I think I need to go to bed! Using to and too's incorrectly!!

Anonymous said...

lol that's ok

kanabgal said...

Oh that's right - river run's through there Huh. I hate mosquitos because they loveeeeee me.

kanabgal said...

Are they bad year round?

Anonymous said...

Oh, I fed them very well! Even with repelant.

Anonymous said...

I don't know but in early oct they were bad

kanabgal said...

We don't have problems with mosquitos here much but in May and June we have the dreaded no- seeums (minute little biting basta__ gnats). They will eat you alive!! Thank goodness it's only for a short while.

Anonymous said...

lol

kanabgal said...

You honestly want to flee or stay inside. You know when you see movies with reindeer that have mosquitos all over them - gnats are that way here. Some years they are'nt here, but not very often.

Anonymous said...

Not where I live, but where we had summer lane, they had blow flies. Bite real bad.

kanabgal said...

Well Taco was good chatting with you again. Hope you get to see that grandbaby soon! BRS hope you arrive safe to your destination. Will see you on the flip side!!

Anonymous said...

summer land, I mean

kanabgal said...

I'm all tuckered out!! Good Night.

Anonymous said...

Night kanabgal, see ya tomorrow

Anonymous said...

I'm still with you Steve! Those white lines are hypnotic at night.

jilli said...

You're right about those white lines Taco; they're putting me to sleep...
Goodnight for now. safe travels Steve.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Steve, I need to sleep now. Hope you have a safe night drive. Don't know how you do this with all the changes. Hope TK doesn't smell the chichens! Thank you for your hard work! (changed my name from Tacomagram)
