A grocery warehouse. They have all the deliveries scheduled at the same time, then they have until 0700 to unload folks. What a mess. No telling when I will get a door, or how long to unload. Every grocery place just about is a total nightmare. This morning, I delivered to Costco. In and out in under an hour and a half. Would be nice if everybody could do that!

In my youth I had a job including loading and unloading trucks and freightcars at a grocery place. We did sugar and coffee in bags of 60 to 100 pounds each.
Some trucks came with just stacks of boxes and we had to get skids with lots of little wheels on them to offload the boxes. I am wondering whether today all the loads are palletised and a forklift can do the same job in a few minutes or so.
I worked at a drug store. The truckers unloaded their trucks with a pallet jack or by hand. The fun was watching Coke or Pepsi team when they had a large set-up. Those guys could move fast. I had to reset some of those displays when they sold down. Even half cases of pop get heavy after awhile.
This has turned into a trip of inches and if lucky, feet!
I can't decide if it is the "good ones" that spoil us, or the "bad ones" that make us disappointed. A lot more of good and a lot less of bad would be perfect, don't you think?
