I just stopped here for a few minutes to stretch my legs, and pull on TK's tail. :)
Sorry about the camera problem earlier....the laptop went crazy on me and then crashed. Then the mountains made for hard to keep a signal. LOL Not sure what I can say about that other than I do try, and tower signals, computer crashes, etc is something I really can't help.
I will get a MACbookPRO as soon as I can afford one, or one falls in my lap. This Vista just does not play well with the 900 things I expect it to do all at once. LOL
BUT....ya really have to consider, that to be able to see a live video feed as much as we do manage to get out, it really is not all that bad!
Ok, will get moving here for the final leg into Flagstaff in a few minutes.....

Your signal has been almost flawless through at least half of the lower 48, and I still marvel at seeing the inside of the tunnel by Baltimore. As I may have mentioned, my own verizon wireless card gave up when I got to West Texas after working fine from New England to Dallas.
You are covering a lot of territory that is familiar to me and fun to see. This will be the first time since I began watching that you were in Oklahoma.

Hey Just Vicki! I just got off from work. Been planning a driver appreciation for drivers like BRS and TK all day. Got permission today to put a dog park in so the drivers can let their dogs romp safely and not get hurt by the big rigs. Now I've got to put my thinking hat on what to do for our friends like TK.

Just zoomed in on the map of Flagstaff and Amarillo, two places I definitely remember being on Rt 66 when I came across the area in the sixties. Is all trace of it gone now?

Not all traces of Rt 66 in the Texas panhandle are gone. Amarillo still has a section of 66 that is devoted to antique stores, cafe's, etc. AND, there is a section that runs parallel to I-40 that is west of Amarillo. I actually live on old rt 66. My in-laws operated an old hotel on 66 (you know the kind with separate rooms on the bottom floor and rooms on second floor that shared a bath at the end of the hall). My husband and I bought it from them and made it our home with some extensive remodeling.
