For anyone who wants to see some of Steve's mom's murals, go to Galleries, The Collections, then Murals. I grouped a bunch of murals from around the site into this collection. I put a few of my own in the back of the gallery starting where it says "in a private home". --Texas Lady

Howdy Texas Lady...you're murals are fantastic. Has this been a talent of yours since you were young?

TY for your kind comment. Painting or drawing has been a love anyway since I can remember. When I had no paper as a child I drew in the dirt & traced it deeply with a pocketknife so it would last awhile. -- Texas Lady

All I can say is WOW!! Don't suppose I could talk you into making a trip to Buffalo, New York for awhile, could I? I have a wall I would like you to meet. *smile*

Those are magnificent.

Absolutely beautiful...

Hi Texas Lady,

I too have always loved to draw, paint, and in general, create. I remember in high school, I went to a construction site and collected enough broken pieces of tile to create a mosaic of the head of a deer and put it in the bottom of a tray for my mother. My mother was delighted with it until she realized I had made it out of "trash."

I later became a high school art teacher. I now dabble in photography and teach the basics of artistic endeavors to my grandchildren.

Texas Lady - Now it's easy to see where Stephen gets his artistic eye. Beautiful work!

Oh forgot to tell you Texas Lady since I'm sure Stephen didn't pass my comment along: you did a wonderful job raising your son. My evening students are always anxious to see where BRS is for the night and get the latest on TK. He is so patient with answering one of my girls questions. Without even seeing her, he's making a difference in her life. A yellow rose for you!

Dottie, I wish I could have seen your mosaic. Little do we know how our reactions affect others. I'm sure your mom didn't mean to disappoint you & I bet she is proud of you becoming an art teacher. And I'm glad now you get to share with your grandchildren. God always gives us plenty of blessing & we are happiest dwelling on those. --Texas Lady

Ah, I must give credit where credit is due. The Good Lord has fashioned Steve & made a man I'm proud to have for a son. The LORD changed me from the person I used to be, too. Steve is making a difference in people he meets because the Lord is using him to touch others, on the highways & by ways of life, you might say. It is wonderful to be used by the Lord. Once the Lord comes into your life the happy ending is guaranteed, even if sometimes it hurts on the way there. --Texas Lady
